FAQ

ServiceGTD is a customer-first advisory and concierge platform designed to help NRIs and families in India discover, evaluate, and access trusted eldercare and lifestyle services for their loved ones. We focus on reducing the trust deficit, coordination burden, and uncertainty often associated with finding reliable care services remotely.
Our platform is primarily built for NRIs managing care responsibilities for parents and loved ones in India. However, many resident Indian families also use our advisory and concierge services for eldercare support and trusted service discovery.
Unlike open marketplaces that list thousands of providers with questionable credentials, ServiceGTD follows a market-research based verification and onboarding process for service providers. We carefully evaluate service partners, focus on pilot services and locations, and prioritize customer experience, transparency, and long-term trust over aggressive expansion.
No. ServiceGTD is not a caregiving agency or healthcare provider. We act as a trusted advisory and digital support and concierge layer that helps families discover suitable service partners, navigate decisions, and receive post-booking support.

Trust & Vetting

We conduct extensive research into each service provider’s operational strengths, leadership background, customer focus, background verification processes, communication standards, and service reliability. We also build direct relationships with senior leadership teams to be able to get better service quality and response times for our customers.
No. We intentionally avoid expanding too quickly. Many service providers perform better in certain locations or service categories than others. We selectively onboard pilot services and pilot locations where we believe quality and operational consistency has been demonstrated over a period of time.
We work with service partners who conduct formal background verification processes for caregivers and staff. We also establish expectations and agreements around verification standards and customer safety practices. We also enable additional background checks as requested by families and bear part of the cost.
Many public ratings and review systems are inconsistent or easily manipulated, making it difficult to judge actual post-booking service quality. Families often face challenges related to caregiver reliability, communication, accountability, and continuity after the booking has already been made.
Yes. Our advisory-first model is designed to prioritize customer suitability over sales incentives. We don’t even have a sales team. We may choose not to recommend a provider for a specific requirement or location if we are not confident about the expected service experience.

Pricing & Payments

We strongly believe in transparency, fairness, and clarity. Our goal is to reduce hidden charges, opaque pricing structures, and arbitrary “NRI markups” that many families experience while accessing services remotely.
We actively encourage fair and market-aligned pricing practices among our service partners. While pricing may vary depending on service complexity and geography, we discourage inflated pricing simply because a customer lives abroad.
Yes. In certain cases, we may charge a transparent advisory or platform fee for concierge support, coordination, and assistance. Any applicable fees are communicated clearly upfront.

Yes. Many of our customers make payments directly from countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and the Middle East.
Refunds and cancellations are handled based on the nature of the service and the policies of the service partner. Wherever possible, we work closely with customers and providers to ensure fair resolutions, rescheduling support, or partial refunds wherever applicable.

Care Continuity & Service Reliability

Care continuity is one of the biggest concerns in the eldercare ecosystem today. We work proactively with service partners to reduce disruptions and have a strong network of partners to support quick replacements.
It’s generally between 2-4 days, we help coordinate replacement support or escalation assistance if a caregiver becomes unavailable unexpectedly. We share all the relevant information with the families and obtain their consent before the replacement.
We aim to reduce the operational burden on families through concierge support, communication assistance, follow-ups, and a dedicated relationship manager approach.

Customers can reach out to our support and concierge team for escalation assistance, coordination support, and issue resolution guidance. We strive to remain customer-centric and responsive throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Data Privacy & Security

We are designing our systems with modern security and privacy best practices to help protect sensitive personal, medical, and care-related information.
We only share relevant information with service partners as required for service delivery and coordination purposes after taking consent from the families. We are strongly against misuse, unauthorized sharing, or unethical handling of customer information and set these expectations with legal contracts with our service partners during the onboarding process.
Families often share sensitive information related to health, caregiving needs, schedules, finances, and family situations. Protecting this information is essential to maintaining trust and customer confidence and protecting seniors against cyber frauds and scams.
